International and Domestic Engagement Directorate

The Directorate influences better policy, promotes civil-military-police best practice, and builds capacity through outreach, stakeholder engagement, and the delivery of ACMC’s educational and training products.

The role of the International and Domestic Engagement Directorate

The International and Domestic Engagement Directorate leads the ACMC's outreach activities.

Within the ACMC, the International and Domestic Engagement Directorate works with Australian Government agencies and non-government partners to improve civil-military-police cooperation through a series of programs, projects and events.

The Directorate supports stakeholders in the achievement of their policy objectives. We encourage and facilitate civ-mil-pol coordination in all stages of planning and policy development. We also manage a series of thematic programs, which drive outreach initiatives and education activities with the aim of influencing better civ-mil-pol outcomes. We respond to stakeholder requests for support and seek opportunities to further the mission of the ACMC.

The Director of International and Domestic Engagement is Mr Peter Giugni who leads a team that includes Australian Public Service personnel and contracted experts employed for their education expertise and experience in Australian government policy development.
