The New Zealand Defence Force, in partnership with the Ministry of Defence, is responsible for defending New Zealand and supporting the New Zealand Government’s national security interests. Given the strong historic and strategic ties between the Australian and New Zealand militaries, ACMC works closely with the New Zealand Defence Force to ensure that New Zealand’s interests are taken into account in the promotion of civil-military-police capabilities in the Australasian context.
