The Australian Department of Defence, which includes members of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and the Australian Public Service, provides administrative support for the ACMC. The ADF is the military organisation responsible for the defence of Australia and is also routinely used in humanitarian responses and disasters domestically and overseas. The ADF consists of the Royal Australian Navy, Australian Army, Royal Australian Air Force including a number of 'tri-service' units. ACMC works with the ADF to assist them to prepare with other government departments, NGOs and International Organisations for offshore deployments.
