Australian Department of Defence

The Australian Department of Defence includes members of the the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and the Australian Public Service. It provides the administrative support for the ACMC. The ADF is the military organisation responsible for the defence of Australia, and is also routinely used in humanitarian responses and disasters overseas. The ADF consists of the Royal Australian Navy, Australian Army, Royal Australian Air Force including a number of 'tri-service' units. The ADF is supported by the Department of Defence and several other civilian agencies. ACMC works with the ADF to assist them to prepare with other government departments, NGOs and International Organisations for offshore deployments.
