April of this year (2022) marks the first anniversary of Australia's Second Women, Peace and Security National Action Plan 2021-2031 (NAPII). Late 2021 Australian Government Departments/Agencies and civil society inaugurated a dialogue in order to develop a framework to secure the implementation of the NAPII throughout our region. The newly developed Framework for Civil Society-Government Engagement was endorsed by the Inter-Departmental Committee on 29 March 2022.
The Australian Civil-Military Centre is committed to supporting these partnerships and the underlining principles of the NAPII. The Australian Civil-Military Centre looks forward to continuing its work with government partners and the Australian Civil Society Coalition on Women, Peace and Security.
