Learning from the last crisis, preparing for the next

The increasing scale and frequency of disasters in Australia and our region requires strengthened multi-agency capability to learn from operational experience and embed lessons in future responses.

This week, ACMC’s Wayne Snell and Mark Cuthbert shared latest lessons management thinking at the National Lessons Management Forum in Adelaide, organised by the Australasian Fire and Emergency Services Authorities Council (AFAC) and the Australian Institute for Disaster Resilience (AIDR).

ACMC also hosted an Australasian Lessons Managers Community of Practice Collaboration Workshop on Friday 31 May to strengthen civil-military lessons interoperability and enhance the lessons managers network.
