Australian Civil-Military Centre - Statement on COVID-19

The Australian Civil-Military Centre (ACMC) is following whole-of-government guidance from the Australian Department of Health and the Prime Minister’s Office in relation to COVID-19, and is monitoring the situation with a priority on the health and wellbeing of its staff and of the general community.

The Australian Defence Force is supporting Commonwealth and State Governments with planning, health and logistics to mitigate risks associated with COVID-19, both in Australia and abroad.

ACFID, our civil society partner, has committed to providing life-saving assistance and is actively adapting the way that they work to best deal with this new reality.

ACMC is contributing to Whole-of-Nation efforts towards this global emergency with staff employed in pandemic coordination centres across government. ACMC experts are assisting to develop best-practice integrated approaches to planning and preparedness. Our staff are commencing lessons evaluation of observations about how civil-military-police coordination maximises effective national and international efforts.
