ACMC Director Concepts and Capabilities Wayne Snell has provided a key presentation at the Australasian Fire and Emergency Service Authorities Council (AFAC) Lessons Management Forum in Canberra.
The three-day Forum attracted delegates from Australian Government, State and Territory agencies and representatives from New Zealand, the United States and United Kingdom.
The principal theme was ‘Closing the loop, the challenges of change’. The Forum aimed to build understanding of a coordinated but flexible approach to lessons processes by examining a variety of lessons management frameworks and drawing upon recent operational experience.
ACMC was a major sponsor of the Forum, which reflected its role in enhancing civil-military-police lessons management and support to multi-agency/multi-jurisdictional lessons interoperability and knowledge sharing.
The forum was also an important opportunity to strengthen relationships across lesson practitioner networks in government, non-government and regional counterparts.
